Is that with or without the tail lol ... cause lets say I cut off the tails and then weigh 8 oz uncooked so that equals 7 0z when cooked right..
I throw them on the grill, frozen, right out of the box...
Any1 eat the tails>? haha sorry I'm new at eating shrimp .....
Nope you don't eat the shell on the tails. You can leave the tail shell on when you cook the shrimp, so you can use it like a little handle or just peel it off.
When you buy your shrimp, if they are grey, they need to be cooked, if they are pink, they are cooked, so you can eat them as is or just warm them up. Shrimp only take about 5 or 6 mins in a fry pan to cook up.
You could buy the pink (cooked) ones, make a cocktail sauce with SF Ketchup and horseradish sauce (mixed together) and have shrimp cocktail.
You could cook the shrimp in a pan sprayed with non-stick spray, add some garlic and a little butter buds, then drizzle with a little olive oil. Serve on a bed of lettuce..
You could brush your shrimp with a little lite soy sauce and broil or grill..
I love shrimp Could you tell?? LOL..
I made shrimp scampi on Friday for my husband. I saw the recipe on Rachael Ray and followed her directions, except I removed my portion before I added the butter. It was really delicious. I served his over linguine and ate mine plain..
I've never been a great shrimp fan but my tastes are changing and this is going to be near the top of my list! Thanks for your recipes Emerald...one great thing about shrimp is that we can have 7 oz of them and there are plenty of recipes!..
Hmm. I'm going to have to check with Costco on that... There's one just up the road about 2 miles from the office.. Sams is 3/4 of a traffic jam away to the SE. (and going there and returning is the same as 1 1/2 traffic jams... so I rarely go....)..
