First question I have is No Superbowl ring, but I did lose 35 lbs on Medifast!? Hoping for any comment. Another question on my mind: I normally don't drink diet soda but when I was out, I felt like I needed some flavor so I ordered a diet coke. Well, I'm thinking it may have been real coke, full fledged, full sugar, calories, you name it. How bad will this screw up my weight loss? It was less than 12 ounces that I had, maybe around 9 ounces? I'm so afraid that this will throw me off completely. Anyone ever had this happen?..

That's a good question. I'm not sure what is the answer to your question. I'll do some Googling and get back to you if I bump into an useful answer. You should email the people at Medifast as they probably can help you..

No, but 30 carbs will most likely throw her out of ketosis...

What made you think it was real coke and not diet? Was it because it tasted too sweet?.

Now that I'm doing MF, diet soda tastes a lot sweeter to me. Hopefully, that is what happened to you...

Oh. Yes. Of course. Ketosis. Getting back into ketosis is a pain in the *** but definitely not the worst thing that could happen. It's pretty impossible to not lose weight on this plan...

I always ask to be sure it's diet and/or caffeine free. (Some restaurants actually have caffeine free diet coke!!) I've noticed that my caffeine free diet coke tastes a lot sweeter almost 3 weeks into MF. I only drink one can every day and it tastes like desert!..

I've found that I can't tell the difference between the two. Whenever I order a diet coke, I'm paranoid that they've given me a regular coke. I always have my husband taste it and he gives me a funny look and says it's definitely diet...

We had a new server and he gave my fiance the diet coke and he practically spit it across the room because he can't stand diet. I had already had quite a bit of my soda. My taste buds are off because coke used to be my favorite drink and it tasted weird to me because my taste buds have changed so I assumed it was diet. Even when you do what you think is the right thing and make the right choices, it can still bite you in the tush!..

I don't drink soda regularly either, but I was thirsty tonight while at Sam's Club so my husband went and got a soda to share. I took one sip and said-this is diet, right? It was, but wow did it taste sweet. I suspect that could have been the case for you too. But if not I don't think it will cause you to gain weight...

, at the very worst, it's a few days to get back into ketosis for you and a few days to get that icky sugar out. Just climb back on the horse. It was a mistake. I have an idea though, if you ever have the urge to have a diet coke again, let your husband taste it first...

Ah, ok. But I'm pretty sure you will be ok. You may have been knocked out of ketosis so the next few days could be rough..

Hang in there!..

Well I just hopped on the scale today and I'm up .5lbs! Not happy about that at all. So the next thing I'm going to do is keep drinking water at restaurants like I typically do. I don't want that to ever happen again. But my luck is that they'd give me vodka instead. But at least I would recognize it right away...

It happened to me the other day the whole office went and ordered drinks. So when they get an order for 20 drinks I know they are going to mess up. I had everyone taste it and they all assured me it was diet so I drank like 2 drinks still not convinced so I threw it out...

I had the same thing happen to me - I swore they served me real coke - and my friend had also ordered diet coke - so I tasted hers, still sweet - and she said, "your taste buds are fried - this is definitely diet soda!".

But either way, even if it was real coke, and you temporarily fall out of ketosis, you can get back into ketosis pretty fast...

I never trust that in a restaurant I can order a diet soda and actually GET a diet soda so I stay away from them and just stick to coffe, tea, or water when eating out. Afterall, if Applebees can accidentally serve a margarita to a baby instead of apple juice (this has apparently happened more than once) they can mess up diet vs regular coke!..
