I tried this recipe based on an indian dish - buttered chicken. It came out pretty tasty.

1 packet cream of tomato soup.

8 oz. water.

1 tsp butter buds.

1/4 tsp splenda.

1/4 tsp Garam Masala (indian spice).

1 oz. of cooked chicken breast shredded.

Mix everything together, let sit in fridge for a couple of hours, heat when ready to eat!..

Is this spicy hot? I guess I mean is Garam Masala hot? Where do you get that? Also, you did mean more then 1oz of chicken right?.

Thanks - Steph..

No - garam masala is not hot, but very flavorful. you can get it at any specialty store or even regular grocery store (mccormick spices), and yes it is 1oz of chicken...

Hi great recipe,.

Can not wait to try it. I just have one question. When I eat this, do I count it as Medifast meal or my l/g meal? Thank you all..

I got some Cream of Tomato Soup in my FIRST shipment and I never was into the stuff - even as a kid with grilled cheese!.

This recipe is GREAT! I think I can use the stuff up now and not let it go to waste!..

I would think, 1 Medifast meal and 1oz of your L&G...

I used my tomato soup this way.

4 oz hamburger.

1 tomato soup packet mixed with a little less water than called for.

1 can of green beans.

Sprinkle of parmesan on top.

Was delicious.

I love the message and blogs sure helps me figure things out...

I will try this as I love Indian food and I would like to change up my tomato soup every once in a while..

I do not get Butter Buds in my neck of the woods. Would a few sprays of ICBINB work you think?..

This is great - I miss Indian food - my favorite "ethnic" food - and it's a way to get rid of the tomato soup which is so-so, as far as I'm concerned. Thanks!..
