First off, Im on Medifast! Do you think I can loose 20 pounds by end of May? Many thanks for any answer. Another question on my mind: Hey ladies, I just need to vent I guess but....

I've been feeling a little under the weather lately. See.. I started Medifast on the 4th this month and I was OP, did really great, felt great. So motivated. But then out of the blue I felt really down cause I started having financial issues and figured I wouldn't be able to put in another order like I thought till everything else is taken care of, So I had 2 days left but I got help from some wonderful ladies on how to stretch Medifast until the next order. I was going to prepare my stretch when I ran into this dilemma.

And today, I started well and cheated again. I figured why try when ill be stalled anyway. My meals will run out soon and will have to go back to regular food anyhow. I don't know, theres a few things going on in my life right now and I feel sad. I know I'm an emotional eater but sometimes I just feel that what I've always wanted, which is to be a smaller size and feel healthy will never happen.

I don't know ladies, I just feel sad. Thanks for reading! Hope all you have a good day tomorrow..

I'm stumped. I'm not so sure what is the answer to your question. I'll do some Googling and get back to you if I find an answer. You should email the people at Medifast as they probably can help you..

If you go to the nutritional support board and read the recent posts, I saw them offer advice to someone who will not be able to purchase the products. They had a list called Healthy Fueling or something like that. It gave suggested things to eat instead of the packets. perhaps it will be enough to get you back on track food-wise even while you are not eating Medifast meals. I wish you the best...

Times are tough and many people are having financial struggles. I'm lucky enough to be able to work Medifast into my budget, but I have also put some thought into what I might do if that changed. I hope you don't mind, but I'll share my "just in case" plan with you..

MF has a very specific high protein, nutritionally balanced system that is probably impossible to match with regular food. However, if I had to, I would try to continue eating every 2-3 hours (5 times a day) but choose from the Healthy Fuelings list (somewhere in the maintenance area of the success tools) at 100 calories per serving, keep the carbs under 100, maintaining the L&G, and adding a multi vitamin to make sure I was nutritionally balanced..

Make a plan for yourself and swing it by nutritional support and/or your health coach. Good luck!..

Check out the book "Dr. A's Habits of Health". Dr. Andersen is/was on the Medifast medical staff and cofounded Take Shape for Life. Although he recommends the Medifast products, the book lays out an eating plan based on the same principles as Medifast but using real foods. I have not read the entire book yet, but will use it when I get into T&M.

Good luck to you...

Sorry you're feeling so badly. Hope reading these boards helps alittle. I don't know if you have family or not, and that does change what I'm about to say, but for me I would definitely spend $300.00 or more just going out to eat at work or on my way to work per month. This plan has actually helped me SAVE money. I got into the very bad habit of stopping by a popular fast food place on my way to work every day and getting this very unhealthy breakfast sandwich at the cost of like $7.00 Diet Coke included!!.

Being on Medifast has forced me to think about my food costs and realize how much I wasted on junk food..

Good luck on your journey, and keep your chin up. Hopeflly you'll be able to stay on track with or without Medifast and achieve your goals! I know you can do it...
