First question I got is Are Healthy Choice & South Beach Diet Frozen foods just as effective as Medifast? Hoping for any answer or 2. Second question of mine... I'm in week two of Medifast. So far I've lost 5 pounds..

I am having a rough day. I'm not particularly starving - just the right amount of hungry - but WOW, am I GRUMPY!!!!!!! Any of you guys experience this? How do you work through it? Normally I'd stuff my face with carbs until I got the "food high"... even if it lead to a "down" later, at least it would work at the time.......

Yes sir! although you might wanna make sure and wait for another commenter to confirm my answer as I am unsure of myself. Better yet, why don't you e-mail the Medifast guys because they can give you an answer better...

Let it out. you've been holding back anger with food. ya don't have to be nasty to anyone i'm not saying that. go be extra kind to yourself, find an outlet. this never ends so long as we don't comfort ourselves with food anymore. so you need to find an activity that releases the stress.

I just run the anger right out of myself until I can't feel anything anymore (kinda like what I did with food...only productive now!)...

Grumpy here, too! And I need to put on a happy face little DS (age 8) had a friend over this afternoon, now a second friend arrived for a sleepover (it's spring break.) DH is ordering them Domino's PIZZA... ARRGGGGHHHH! I wish I could sit outside with a glass of wine and a slice of pizza!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is so depressing!.

Well, thank you for listening to my vent! I'm going to cut up some rotisserie chicken breast and make myself a salad with WF dressing. SIGH..

Wow...i feel just like y'all do too! This is my third week and everything is irritating me! Im a kinder teacher and sometimes the noise is more than I can stand....then I come home and my BF and baby girl are talking and I just want to run out of the house. I'm hoping to feel better soon. We just gotta hang in there!..

My nerves are freyed too! I care for my 89 year old father...he has started making a grunting or barking noise all day long and it is driving me crazy!!!!!!!!! and he blows his nose all the time too - gross!!!!! God help us!!!!!!!!!!!!!..

I started getting moody a few weeks into it...working out and eating extra protien worked for me...but then I'm different than everyone else..

I don't mean to laugh at your post but it just hit me as funny when I read the nose blowing being gross followed by God help us; you brightened my day with that happy and I don't mean any disrespect but it did cheer me up compared to what I'm going through at this time so thanks for the chuckle that brightened my day and I do empathize and wish you the best. you are a very precious daughter indeed!.

Life is very difficult at times and we have to find times to laugh so we can all make it, eh! So sorry that your nerves are freyed really I am; God love you...

I take a nice long hot bath then I use my favorite lotion (SummerLemon from Bath and Body Works). They don't sell it anymore and I am hoping it comes back this summer. I save it for when I really need or deserve a treat...

I think this is especially true with me. food was my outlet. now I have no outlet other than being mean or grumpy to others and that isn't good..

What are you guys' outlets??????..

I was a BEAR for the first week. I think the sugar/carb withdrawal takes quite a toll on some of us!..

YES! You nailed it. My outlets include journaling, curling up on the couch and reading, indulging in junk tv, road biking, and taking walks. I realized last weekend that I have to be careful that I don't take my anger out on my friends-it isn't fair to them...

Who ever said food is not an addiction? CRAZY. Its withdrawl, it passes with a headache or two, an empty feeling in the tummy, a few nights of not sleeping well., and one day (very soon) you'll wake up and feel great..and it's part of the success.....

HAPPYASACLAM, I feel for you and caring for your poor, barking, grunting father! I am my mother's caregiver and it is VERY hard. (She's in a wheelchair, diabetic, with unhealing wounds, and in a LOT of pain.) I have an extra-hard time b/c she abused me growing up, and now I am SO resentful that I have to care for her, with only a part-time nurse. I do so to help my father. We are now looking into a full-time nursing home..

Anyway, I got so angry early on in this diet (especially since she is so unappreciative and rude, and my sister doesn't bother to help), that after I hurt my back moving her 300-pound self into the car, and went to fold up the 100-pound gigantic wheelchair, I actually had a meltdown and threw the wheelchair pillow HARD into the car! The back of the pillow is hard and it dented the car and scraped off some paint. I felt so awful afterwards, but in retrospect, it was actually a good thing normally, I would have come home and stuffed down my anger with food (not something I do often), instead, I had to face my anger..

After that, my sister actually stepped up and started helping out a little more!.
