I had it the other day with lots of pepper. It's was not bad. Maybe also try a little garlic salt.
I used some tonight to make broccoli and "rice" casserole. It was from a recipe that I found on these boards. It was really good...
Oh, I'm with you. It tastes awful. I actually am glad that I still have a box because someone posted a recipe for "bread" and I luvvved it. I make two patty cakes out of one packet and eat them with my lean and green. It's like a flat bread with my chicken breast or salmon. I believe its, 1 packet of the soup, 1/2 teaspoon of baking powder and any spices (no salt) you like, mix in a bowl.
I take a spoon and smear the dough onto parchment paper into two 1/4 inch thick rounds, put it on a cookie sheet and bake at 375 for 6 mins. then I flip them over and bake for an additional 4 mins.
Thanks to the person who posted this. It has really helped me through the bread cravings...
I added a wedge of Laughing Cow Lite Garlic & Herb cheese, a 1/2 cup of Fat Free chicken broth and 1 cup of steamed broccoli (part of my Green). I put it all in the blender until smooth, and then heated on the stove. It was F-A-B-U-L-O-U-S. Thick and creamy, and very, very tasty.
I believe you can count the cheese wedge as part of your Lean (it only has 2.5g of fat and 1 carb!!), or perhaps even as your snack. I just logged it as a Private Food and reduced my Lean a little for the day. Great protein, too!.
It was delicious and filling, too! Let me know if you try this and what you thought..
Go here and try this recipe for bread..
I used mine in a tuna casserole with canned tuna and cheddar cheese, celery and onion, plus herbs (basil) and spices (garlic, pepper). It was not quite as good as with cream of mushroom soup, but my husband liked it, so it is definitely on the list of things to fix when in a hurry! I like to heat the soup, then put in the vegetables and flavorings, then cook a bit. The tuna goes in last because I don't want to stir it around too much, then when it is hot I put cheese on top and put the lid on for a minute or two...
